Please stand in a queue

Tomorrow This morning I had to go to the railstation by bus, because of the rain. I rolled down the stairs in a hurry and took the bus before it ran away.
I found the ticket after analizing cm per cm my bag, and obviously it passed a while. Then there was no more sitting places, and I thought about ordinate English queue at bus stops. I thought at buses full of sitting places, hundreds perhaps.
Here in Italy buses has got 15-23 sitting places and 80 or 90 persons could stay on their feet.
Fortunately, our engineers are not very good in managing space, and I found a place to put my buttocks onto near the ticket-stamp-machine. It was not as comfortable as a seat, but it was more than nothing. Usually children and teenagers do that. A 28 years olded girl is too old to do this, I fear.

I've always been amazed that city transit buses allow people to stand at all. I guess they think it's safe since the buses never travel too fast. Still, I think bus companies prefer convenience over safety. By having people stand they can get on and off more quickly than if they were all seated.

About safety... I remember when, during my bus travels to university, the bus riders ran so fast while getting closer to a difformity in the street to make an high jump. The only think make me feel a back ache...

When you say "tomorrow", do you mean "today"?

I am 28 years old too! I laughed about searching through your bag for the ticket. That sounds like me! I can never find anything and I end up emptying out my whole bag.

My bag is always full of things. I put there all I need... the umbrella, hairbrush, a diary, my book, 2 or 3 block notes, some pens, a score of keys, sheets about festival and concerts I went to, mobile, camera, one floppy disk, addresses, the wallet, and many other things... almost unuseful...
